DMAG.105 Transformer Demagnetization Tester
About the DMAG.105:
-
DMAG Power transformer demagnetization instrument is designed to eliminate hazards of the residual magnetism after the DC resistance test of large power transformers.
-
The DMAG instrument can protect power transformers from inrush current impact and has an extremely important role in safely commissioning.
-
Due to the inherent hysteresis loss formula of the ferromagnetic materials, after the transformer voltage ratio, DC resistance measurement has been performed, the residual magnetism will remain in the transformer’s core.
-
When the transformer is placed into operation, the residual magnetism will cause the transformer core to half saturation and generate a large number of harmonics in excitation current, which will increase the reactive power consumption of transformers and may cause a malfunction on the relay.
-
We should do demagnetization to ensure safe running before the transformer is placed into operation.
